    Veterinarian, Owner

    Dr. James Takacs has been practicing veterinary medicine since 1987. He is a graduate of St. Francis University and the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine.  He is a professional, knowledgeable and experienced veterinarian.  Dr. Takacs is passionate about veterinary medicine and enjoys meeting new clients and their pets.  He provides caring, comprehensive, quality and affordable care for his patients. 

    Established in 1987 he has expanded his business twice, most recently 2012 with 35 employees, a 50 bed hospital, on site blood machine, digital x-rays, and soon to come CT scanner.  

    Dr. James Takacs enjoys spending time with his wife MaryJo, his children and grandchildren.  His passion is veterinary medicine and considers work his most beloved hobby.  Dr. Takacs has dedicated his life to helping animals and improving the quality of life for his well loved clients.

  • Dr. Michael Takacs, VMD

    Dr Michael Takacs is a graduate of University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. His special interest include: soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and small animal internal medicine. Dr. Michael Takacs enjoys managing a balance of  both surgical and medical cases as well as educating clients, students and staff. Dr. Michael Takacs focuses on preventive healthcare for his patients. He emphasizes client education to help ensure a rational and thorough understanding of animal health and wellness issues. Dedicated to his community, Dr. Michael Takacs works with local animal shelters and rescue groups providing spay and neutering services. He also enjoys speaking at local schools about careers in veterinary medicine. 

    When he isn't working, he loves spending time with his wife and small zoo of children and pets.

  • Dr. Grace Takacs (Kerstetter), VMD

    Dr. Grace Takacs (Kerstetter), VMD received her bachelor's degree from Penn State University before attending veterinary school at University of Pennsylvania. She is dedicated to educating clients and involving them in a lifetime of healthcare for their pets. Dr. Grace Takacs believes that annual physical examinations, vaccinations, routine diagnostics and monthly parasite prevention are vital in ensuring your pet lives a long healthy life. Her special interest include geriatric and hospice care,internal medicine, and dermatology. 

    In her spare time, Dr. Grace Takacs enjoys spending time with her husband and traveling. She shares her home with two dogs, Hank and Wrigley, and two cats, Davey and Scotch.

  • Dr. Joel Takacs, VMD, DACVS- SA

    Dr. Joel Takacs graduated from Penn State University in 2009.  He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2013, completed an internship at the University of Pennsylvania in 2014 and completed a surgical residency at the University of Pennsylvania in 2017.  Dr Joel Takacs attained board certification from the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS) in February 2018.

    Dr. Joel Takacs performs a variety of advanced Orthopedic, Soft Tissue, and Oncologic surgeries.

    Dr. Joel Takacs has a wonderful wife, a son, and two dogs; a wiener dog and one eyed crooked-legged Pit bull rescue
